Holiday rentals on the Costa Blanca are booming – but are you up to date with the new laws regarding renting your property?

The Valencian Community Authorities have made it mandatory to obtain a license, and a registration number, in order to rent your property.  If you do not have this, you are liable for significant fines.

The Tourism Registry regularly reviews all property rental websites, both private and through agencies, checking that the registration number and category of rental has been properly included in the description.

Application has to be made to your local Registry along with the supporting documents and declarations – and unfortunately this application is only available in spanish.
